ALAN FLOODS LARGEST PIECE - 42 FEET LONG (12.8 METRES)
The work, entitled China was unveiled at the North Sea Chinese Restaurant in Leeds on Sun 27th Nov. It is the largest commission that Alan has received to date (and is probably the longest painting in a restaurant within the uk).

THE PRIVATE VIEW - A FANTASTIC SUCCESS!
Alan would like to thank all of his friends, colleagues and clients and especially the staff of the North Sea Chinese Restaurant - all contributed to a memorable night. The unveiling was the focal point of a delightful community event made all the more special by the presence of the Lord Mayor Rev. Councillor Alan Taylor, who made insightful comments about the importance of the painting and noted the positive contribution which the Chinese community had made to the city of Leeds. Tina Catling (outside the box & Think) delivered a rousing speech which was well received - as was the painting with the studies being purchased within minutes of being produced on the night.
The North Sea staff proved themselves to be capable of laying on a five star event with style!

British artist Alan Flood has been described as an eclectic painter whose subjects range from portrait and group figure compositions to still life, interiors, landscapes and mixed media pieces; some of his more recent work draws on the ancient tradition of religious icon painting.
